Crested Butte is the spiritual home of mountain biking, and the riding lives up to it. Classic high-alpine singletrack like Trail 401, Doctor Park, and the 403 traverses wildflower meadows above 10,000 feet, while the valley floor around Gunnison dries out far earlier. Much of it stays snow-bound deep into spring, so timing the melt-out is everything.
