It's more than dirt. We factor heat, cold, and tree shade to call the best window of the day to ride each trail.

Trail-by-trail mountain bike forecasts for every riding hub we cover, from Durango, Moab, and Sedona to Bend, Bellingham, and Lake Tahoe: 70-plus hubs across 12 Western states. Built from real weather, snowpack, soil, terrain, and sun/shade data. No invented numbers, ever.

Frequently asked questions

We look at each trail the way a local would. How much rain has it actually seen? Does that dirt drain fast or hold water? Is it baking in the sun or tucked under shady trees? Up high, is there still snow hanging around?

We pull all of that together, weather, soil, tree cover, elevation, and snowpack, into one honest read on every trail, today through the next ten days. You get a score and a plain-English call: hero dirt, tacky, soft, or straight-up muddy.

And we never make it up. Every number comes from real data. No data? We say so.

The ingredients are rock solid. The weather, soil, snowpack, and terrain data we build on are all proven sources. What's new is how we blend them into a single read on each trail, and that's the part we're still sharpening.

So treat each call as a well-informed starting point, not gospel. It's strongest for today and the next few days; further out it's more of a heads-up that tightens as the day approaches. Every trail also shows a confidence read so you know how much weight to give it.

We're early, and honestly the best way this gets better is you. Rode a trail and we nailed it, or whiffed it? Drop a quick report. Those real-world checks are exactly how we tune the model into something you can trust completely.

We cover the Western US: 12 states (Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, California, and Texas) with 70-plus riding hubs, from Durango, Moab, and Sedona to Bend, Bellingham, Lake Tahoe, and Jackson Hole, plus per-state backcountry coverage in between.

We're adding hubs and trails all the time. Don't see yours yet? Drop your email and you'll be first to know when it lands.

Fresh every morning. We rerun every trail with the latest weather and snow before you're out of bed, and the map shows exactly when it last updated, so what you see is today's read, not last week's.

The web app is free to use: every trail's current conditions and a 5-day forecast, no account needed. A unlocks the extended 10-day outlook, ride alerts when your saved trails turn good, a sponsor-free map, and the native app when it lands. The free read is the real thing, not a teaser.

Mountain biking is the heart of this, and that's where our focus stays. That said, we're quietly previewing a gravel lens: the conditions for the quiet forest and county roads a drop-bar bike loves, built on the same real soil, snow, and weather model.

It's an early preview for while we get it ready for everyone. Flip the map to Gravel to take a look.
